Prime Minister Pakistan Inaugurated the Highly Anticipated Projects of Bab-e-Pakistan & Walton Road Upgradation

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, inaugurated the Bab-e-Pakistan Development and Walton Road Upgradation Project. The project will be executed by the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA).

The Federal Minister for Railways & Aviation, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Chief Minister Punjab, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, CEO PCBDDA, Mr. Imran Amin, COO PCBDDA, Brigadier (R) Mansoor Janjua, Chairman Board PCBDDA, Mr. Fazeel Asif Jah, Chief Secretary Punjab, Secretary HUD, Investors of CBD Punjab, Directorate Heads of PCBDDA, and other government dignitaries also attended the inaugural ceremony. The Bab-e-Pakistan and Walton Road Upgradation Project will be completed in two phases. In the first phase, the Bab-e-Pakistan monument and its surrounding infrastructure will be developed, and the upgradation of the Walton Road project will be materialized in the second phase. During the ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the project is a testament to the government's commitment to serving the people of Pakistan and providing relief to the citizens. He further emphasized that Punjab is the country's economic hub and has always taken the lead regarding infrastructure development. The project's salient features include the complete development of Bab-e-Pakistan with 60% provision of green area, the completion of the monument, parks, amusement parks, international sports facilities, auditorium, public library, commercial and residential spaces, an additional lane for Walton Road, and modernizing the old sewerage system. Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi expressed his confidence that the project would provide a new direction to the development landscape of Lahore and resolve the prolonged issues of sewerage and traffic congestion on Walton Road, providing relief for commuters and residents of adjoining areas. CEO PCBDDA, Mr. Imran Amin, expressed his gratitude for the federal and provincial governments' immense support and excitement about the project's future. He further stated that the authority would deliver the project with dedication and the spirit of national development. The Bab-e-Pakistan and Walton Road Upgradation Project will provide a new direction to the development landscape of Lahore and is poised to bring about substantial benefits for the people who live and work in the vicinity of the area and promise public facilitation and seamless traffic flow with modern and innovative structures.
